Happy Rock Center is a Christian organisation founded by a Kenyan-Dutch family; John and Nel Wanjala - Bloemheuvel, who have started an orphanage in Mombasa in 2006, for children in need, like orphans, ill, poor, or abandoned children. In the years the activities have expanded. On small scale, with help of a pastor in Kinango, they started a tailoring project. (2008) A Pre/primary-school has started in the compound and they also got a piece of ground and started a farm. (2009). The second church started (2011). The first (2006) moved out into the village and runs on own leadership.

Happy Rock Center takes care of the children with little local help, i.e. the chief calls us to forward food that has been given to the different homes in the area. This happens a few in the year.
